Best SEO Techniques
SEO techniques can be broadley classified into two categories.
One uses best practices commonly referred to as best SEO techniques which this site
teaches. The other methods are not approved by the search engines. One such example would be considered
spamming.
The industry also refers these methods as either white hat SEO
or black Hat SEO. Best SEO Techniques only uses "white hat" methods which tend to produce results that
last a long time. On the other hand black hat techniques are in it for the quick buck and realize their
sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once discovered by the search
engines.
White Hat SEO vs. Black Hat SEO
Search engine optimization techniques
are considered white
hat SEO if it abides by the search engines' guidelines and involves no
deception. Therefore, we can state that using proper SEO techniques is the same as
using white hat SEO. Generally speaking, if the content is created for users as opposed to trying to
disguise or trick the algorithms then it will be considered using best SEO
techniques.
Black hat SEO attempts to increase traffice
and improve rankings through unacceptable practices that are not approved by the search engines. Many
times these methods involve some form of deception. There are several black hat techniques used
such as cloaking, hidden text and iframes. Once discovered by the search engines, black hat users may face
harsh penalties and even have their listings eliminated from the databases all together.
